I knew that mobiles are getting advanced but I did not realise that network providers were now offering TV on your mobile. It is nearly enough to convince me to cash in my mobile for a new one that offers 3G service to allow me to get the service.
I have never been convinced with a contract for a mobile, I spend less than £10 a month with my pay as you go phone which compared to some people, that spend £45 a month isn’t bad. My main problem with contract phones are that quite often you are tied into it for 18 months at a time. I do not like to be tied into things like that; I find companies often find ways to get more money out of you.
When I first moved into my house I wanted Sky TV but didn’t have a phone line. Sky told me that I had to get a BT line first then switch to them. I did this, and told BT that I needed a phone line to switch to another supplier, which they said was fine. It was fine until I switched and BT gave me a £145 fine for breach of contract. It was nice that neither Sky or BT mentioned that that would happen. I guess it’s just because BT are annoyed because they seem confusing with their on demand TV. It looks to me that you have to pay a subscription then pay extra to watch any TV programme.
