Technological parents in law

Being fathers day this weekend we have arranged to and see my parents this Sunday for Sunday Dinner.  We have already gone to see my wife’s father last Thursday as they are going on holiday yet again this weekend.  Every year they go away over Easter my wife says they have to buy a live chick, this has now over spilled into every event they go away on.  Currently they own her about 40 chicks so I hope they never go though with it or we will be over run with live stock.


I was surprised to find that they have gone a little bit technological since we he last visited them.  They are normally very traditional, we I lived there with my wife it took us ages to get them to let us install a wireless router so we could use the internet.  Then when I said it would be better if they let me install new hardware they looked at me like I had just killed someone.  Two weeks later they had someone come look at the computer to check it over and when he put in the new hardware I got the blame for not putting it in when I set it up to start with.


I walked into their house to see that they had gone out to buy a Panasonic cordless phone, and they can use it properly as well.  My parents are quite good with their technology, but my mum can never get to grips with the cordless phone, quite often it is left off the hook because she forgot to press the call cancel button to end the call.


My parents in law brought the phone because they had them install at where my father in law works, apparently they have had a lot of changes, like upgrade to the internet access buy switching to a smaller local firm like Highland Telecom.
